The Bachelor of Arts in Music may be taken as a stand-alone major or with an emphasis area. Emphasis areas require an additional 24 hours of coursework and include: Audio Production, Business, and Wellness.

The Northwest Core (44-47 hours)
Institutional Requirements (4 hours)
B.A. Modern Language Requirement (9 hours)
All 9 hours must be in the same language.
Music Core (18 hours)
Recital Attendance Requirement: MUS 19299 must be taken for 8 semesters.
Music Literature (5-6 hours)
Choose two courses from the following:

Students in the Wellness emphasis area will take 15 hours and an additional 9 hours of electives.

Choose 9 hours of electives from HPER, PSYC, REC, and SCGD.

The B.A. degree with a Comprehensive Major in Music provides the student with a broad liberal arts education and the opportunity to pursue specialized work in an emphasis area.
