HIST 33680 Confronting the Issues in Secondary Social Studies Education

In this graduate-level course, students will dive deep into the challenges and opportunities presented in the contemporary secondary social studies classroom. Drawing from various state and national standards, students will explore the complexities of pedagogy, curriculum design, ethical considerations, and cultural responsiveness in the modern age. Students will develop skills to become more effective, inclusive, and critically-thinking educators. Prerequisite: HIST 33601 with a grade of B or better.
