HIST 33655 Battles and Brotherhood: The American Civil War and the Struggle for National Unity

An advanced course in American history that analyzes the conflicting theories and issues of the antebellum period, interprets the coming of the Civil War, the conduct of government, military operations and foreign relations during the war, and problems of the Reconstruction Period. This course will pay special attention to unique topics in Civil War history and its impacts.
