HIST 33320 Public History in the US

An introduction to the history, theories, and practices of public history in the US. Study will include an overview of fields such as museum education, curatorship, and collections, historic preservation, libraries, and archives. Students will examine the history of these fields, understand how they have evolved in the US, and gain practical skills.
