CSIS 44155 Introduction to Data Science and Data Mining

This course provides an overview of data science, modern data mining techniques, processes and tools with concrete examples. Selected case studies of data mining applications in different domain areas are presented within the context of the data mining processes. This course serves as an introduction to the basics of data science and emphasizes the connections between data mining theory and its applications in industry. (F)
