EDCI 62303 Early Childhood Observation and Assessment

This course is designed to enable candidates to develop a knowledge base to purposefully assess children’s developmental characteristics and learning outcomes, implement intervention strategies, assessment tools and methodologies specific to use with children birth through third grade. Developmentally appropriate methods of collecting data for decision-making, interpretation and analysis including the role of family, impact of cultural, economic, linguistic, and meeting state learning standards and national guidelines for appropriate practices.
