ART 13180 Foundations in Art Education
Students will examine the social and cultural influences that impact teaching and learning in today's schools. Students will learn the foundations of teaching art including introduction to art methods, the history of art education, curriculum development, culturally responsive pedagogy, assessment practices and the conceptual framework for national and state standards. Candidates will learn how to differentiate instruction for different learners and participate in 20 hours of relevant field experience.
