BIOL 04697 Scholarly Paper in Biology

An approved independent study in an area of biology accumulating in a paper. The independent study may or may not involve laboratory work. The student must develop and carry out the problem with the approval and assistance of the advisor. A seminar covering the paper must be given during a semester prior to graduation or in the semester of graduation. The student must complete a written report in the style of a science journal appropriate for the area of study. Delayed grades will be given until the paper is accepted. It may be repeated for up to 5 hours. Prerequisite: Graduate standing and permission of instructor (F, S, SS)
