EDUC 61471 Directed Teaching in the Elementary School

A gradual induction into teaching in the elementary school is provided through a progression which includes observation of the children and the work of the cooperating teacher, gradual participation, and finally directed teaching under the supervision of the cooperating teacher and the college coordinator. The candidate must have adequately fulfilled the requirements as set by the School of Education. Prerequisite: Permission of director of educational field experiences, Admittance to Teacher Education, EDCI 62431, EDCI 62432, and EDCI 62433.  Corequisite: for Elementary and Special Education majors includes: EDCI 62434.
